Yesterday was the NUS Computing Camp, encryption session.
I was quite fun actually. We had 4 rounds of competition trying to crack codes hahaha.
We learnt about stuff like the Caesar Shift Cipher and the Enigma. The only one i actually knew about beforehand was the Caesar Shift Cipher though. Used to play around with it during primary school xD
The final round was encrypting and decrypting using the Enigma machine... except it's a paper one. OTL
My group was in 1st place until the last round, where other groups got the answer first and overtook us... So in the end we landed in 3rd place. The prize was just snacks ahaha.
Man... if i had knew the camp was subsidized by the school, i would have chosen to go for the entire camp :(
But if i had chosen that, then i wouldn't have been able to get a job... meh.
Anyway, it was fun! But it made me want to take Computer Science in uni asdfdfgdfg ><
Right now i can't decide which course i want to take... Psychology, design (?), computer science...
I don't even really understand the uni system OTL it's so complicated.
Tomorrow's my last day of work at SGS... Will miss the people there hahaha.
I wonder how i'll be paid though... The guy said via bank transfer...
He asked for a photocopy of my IC on the first day, but till now he hasn't gotten it from me O.o
Working there just makes me not want to work in the science field ugh... Especially that microbiology lab oh god. Hate wearing those gloves and all that.
My pay's probably gonna be around $350 or so... Ugh i want to ask for a higher pay dammit.
I might try to get the Donna Toki dictionary and study a bit before JLPT... OTL

I'm really getting tired of resetting and resetting my iPod over and over again.
The stupid thing freezes up randomly occasionally, and i have to keep resetting it to try to un-freeze it.
The entire touchscreen works when it isn't frozen, but when it freezes, the entire touchscreen is totally unresponsive god. Not to mention that my home button is also kind of spoiled, so resetting it is just a total pain in the ass. I need to get it repaired, but repair fees oh god.
But still, less than 2 years, and it already became like this? I feel cheated.

The start of the last week of work at SGS...Went into the microbiology lab for the first time, to look for a box that was missing -_-
I'm never going into the micro lab ever again man. It's so troublesome. Need to wear another shoe cover over the lab one, need to wear hair net, need to spray 70% IPA on your hands, still need to go through the air shower... Gosh.
Work has been getting easier (?) for some unknown reason...
All i did today was putting back samples into their respective boxes, pulling samples and making sample lists for boxes lol... Unlike the first day... Back hurt like hell, but now it doesn't even hurt much after work o/
It's really annoying not having an access card OTL
At first even the security guards were bugging me to ask them when i'm getting the card... But somehow now they don't lol.
There's this really annoying woman, sitting right at the entrance of the office (?).
Once i needed to get in and i didn't have the card, so i pressed the visitor button. I didn't even know what the button did. I thought it just opened the door for you. But no, when the button is pressed, a bell sounds in the office. And then i think there's something at the desks that allow the staff to help open the door... I didn't know at first, and the door didn't open when i pressed once, so i pressed it again. And then that annoying woman told me not to press so many times and to borrow a card when i'm going out. Dude. You're telling me to borrow a card from someone else? What if the person needs it? It's not like i'm gonna be out of the office for a short time. I might working on something in the sample room outside. And so i had to press the visitor button for the second time today. And that annoying woman told me the same thing again. God. Why is she so annoyed when the rest aren't? It's not like i keep pressing the button all day long. Usually i try to wait a while to see if anyone's going in/out and just get through.
They should seriously make back-up access cards. For temporary/part-timers like me, and maybe even for people who forget to bring the cards.
JLPT in less than a week aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
If i'm gonna finish that book of grammar exercises, i'm gonna need to do at least 7 exercises per day oh god... I think the most i can do at one time is 5 exercises without getting bored e.e...
On a side note, discovered a few awesome J-rock bands yesterday :DD

#367 A week of back aches
So i started work at SGS this week. Although i was told it was a data entry job, somehow i ended up doing something more like packing. And then everyday there will be back pain. All this hard work, and the pay is only $5/hr. There were 2 other students who were new and working part-time till January, their pay is like $7/hr and they're doing the same thing as me, although for a few more hours everyday. But why am i doing a packing job instead of a data entry one and being paid $5/hr -_- I feel like complaining to them and asking for a pay raise man...Jingwei's working as a school uniform seller now apparently xD
Might join her after the SGS job ends next week. The pay there is like the same and it's so much easier, it's ridiculous. >.> And apparently you won't be working everyday, so that's a good thing? Plus it's office hours, 8am-4pm, so no rush hour after work o/
JLPT is creeping closer everyday aaaaahhhhhhh
I'm finished with one grammar book, but there's still another one with 50 exercises OTL
I really suck at the grammar section asdfdfdkldkjlkdjhglkdjg. But usually i do well in the sentence rearranging and reading sections :3
Oh well. I'll just do my best and see how much i can do by myself.
I have a new ultrabook now! It's a Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook :3
And it's pink, yes.
I'm liking Windows 8 so far. It's so much eyecandy for graphic people like me :DD
You can't use your own picture as the start screen background, but they have really pretty ones to choose from. And you can use gestures. Gosh. Those are so useful.
And pressing the windows button brings up the start screen. I'd rather press a button than move the cursor to the corner of the screen, so troublesome -_-

#366: AFA2012!
The queue for buying tickets... was ridiculously long. Ridiculously.
It was totally a stampede LOL. Everyone rushing to get in asap...
I wasn't supposed to splurge on the artist alley... but i did as usual anyway OTL
Looks like it can't be helped. All the gorgeous art *A*
AFA was kind of boring... Didn't get stage access because the events didn't seem very interesting...
Was tempted by Kishio Daisuke and K, but... i don't wanna spend $12 on that =/
In the end i bought 6 badges, 6 prints, 2 doujinshi and a WEAVER phone strap...
It doesn't seem much... but it all added up T_T
Broke already.
Going with Michelle to the PSP repair store next week, but it costs 40 bucks to repair the analog stick circuit panel... money which i don't have :(
Also need to renew my Kino card (for 2 years). $38.50 gone.
And i wanna get that JLPT grammar dictionary... D: $55.10 gone. (after 20% discount)

Guess i'll just not service my PSP for now... not like i play it very often anw ><
Oh yeah we were trying to find jobs... but we can only work for like about a month so it's kind of hard to find =/
Plus Jing Wei has a 3-day holiday in the middle...
I wonder if employers can give salary via eBanking or something?
My bank account's eBanking, so no passbook... x-x
Hopefully i can get a job...

Wow idk why but the post numbers are wrong LOL.Anw.
Today was our last A class lesson. A couple bought a cake for sensei and we signed on the box cover lolol.
And coincidentally, it was sensei's birthday too! :O
We shared the cake after class~
It was a Yuzu-flavoured cheesecake and it was so yummyyyyyyy :D
Visited Kino just for fun and found out that new volumes are out for Are You Alice? and Shinrei Tantei Yakumo... so i bought them 'u'

Packed my some of my manga into the box i bought last time...
Gosh it's heavy... ._. I think i will need a trolley or something to move it into my hostel room LOL.
Meh. Subject specialisation results were just released...
No math honours...
Idk... i was depending on the teachers to help me decide, but i'm a little sad i didn't get math honours, although that means i probably did badly for PPV exam, which was... expected ._.
Well with just math and 2 science majors, at least i'd have more time to myself next year.
