#402: Back To School...
School reopens in 2 days... D:

So what have i done in this 1 month of free time? _(:3 」∠ )_
I've pretty much just uh... sat on my bed all day long using my laptop orz. Well i participated in Tadoku for the first time and i'm pretty satisfied with how much i read... but that's about it lol.
My birthday was boring as usual... Splurged on books again orz. I have close to 50 Japanese books already... I should stop buying anything before i finish reading every single book! Japanese books are just so small that you don't realise you've got that many until you really go and count them LOL.
Got WEAVER's new live DVD + single for my birthday from my older sis!!
Omg that Zepp DiverCity live is so gooooooooooooood ;-;
Okkun's voice in 「春に」 ;-;
I didn't study much Japanese grammar, unfortunately. Neither did i marathon a lot of animes, for some reason... Only finished Natsume Yuujinchou San and Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo...
Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo was pretty good. It's supposed to be a sequel to the novel. I only realised after seeing the lavender in the mc's aunt's cupboard hahaha.

Managed to do a bit of organising though. Been kind of hung up on organisation lately, idk why haha.
Got my chargers and wires all organised~ Used twist ties to keep the wires tamed. They've been bothering me lol.
Still trying to pack for hostel... trying to bring as little stuff as i can orz.
Don't get why people are upset (maybe not uh) about hostel check-in being pushed back 1 week...
This sem's timetable is worse than last sem's... THURSDAY STILL SUCKS OMG.
Guess what time lunch is supposed to be on my Thurs timetable. TWO O'CLOCK. Like seriously, 2pm what. Have no choice but to have early lunch during a 30 mins break at 10am... Lessons from 8am to 6pm T_T
Sem 2 teachers are quite good though, i think? So happy we have Ms Wong for chem again!! TRF for math again hahahahaha. It'll be my 5th sem under him for math LOL. No more free Starbucks, but then again  LTC is kind of biased =/
Surviving the first week of school is gonna be hard... Not staying in hostel yet + holey timetable = Boredom orz. Don't really want to bring my laptop to school either... Shall bring a book and maybe study Japanese while camping at the library i guess...

All the animes are ending on the last few days of my holiday, WHY. D:
Now i have to marathon them during school term orz.

#401: そらに会いたい
Ugh the hazeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. #sghaze
Man, because of the haze, all i've been doing is laze around in my room with the aircon these few days... Some classmates from my Year1/2 class also had a movie outing planned... but in the end i didn't go... they were gonna watch Now You See Me which i already watched anyway (´・ω・)

Came across this sghazerescue thingy on Facebook, where people offer their air-conditioned rooms/houses for people who don't have aircon... Even though there weren't many the last time i saw it,and idk if it really worked, but it's touching :'>
Since the PSI crossed 300, my dad started to switch on the aircon in the living room on the 1st floor, which has only been used once uhh. So like my entire house is pretty much "safe" from the haze now, so to speak. Which then kind of makes me feel guilty because of all the people who don't have aircon and have to suffer under the horrible haze ><
It's just really starting to feel like... idk. Like, masks are being sold out everywhere, people suddenly scrambling to buy air purifiers, and of course, switching on aircons.
Well, i just feel lucky to be safe from the haze (>_<)
Oh and apparently my brother's doing some mass order for N95 masks haha.

Recently i've been doing this Tadoku challenge thingy, it's a month-long challenge dubbed as "read more or die" xDD
Yeah. I think i've been reading about 20-30 pages a day? It's not a lot though. /looks at the first few people with hundreds of pages read each day/
Been reading 江國香織's つめたいよるに, a short story collection. The short stories were ~10 pages each at first, but now that i'm nearing the end, it's becoming like 5, 6 pages each O.o
The short stories are kind of weird though... uhh... a bit of supernatural elements? And Japanese novels always seem to end ambiguously...
Also discovered National Geographic Japan from Fang Yock/CreativityJapanese! (*´ω`*)
Hmm, i wanted to get the first volume of Asano Atsuko's No.6 novel during Kino's 20% sale... but i don't think i'll be able to because of the haze =v=

Also, Be-chan's 25th birthday on the 28th June! Saw this nanobricks drum kit and really wanted to send it over to Be-chan, but i have no idea about postage... so i think i'll just do with sending a letter over to Japan (´・ω・)
(and nanobricks originated from Japan didn't it? would be kind of pointless sending a Japan-made item from overseas to Japan =v=)
But then comes the problem of the haze. Well, i think i'll just write up a letter and then send it when i get a chance to go to Jurong Point or something idk...
WEAVER special live on NicoNicoDouga later on tonight (≧▽≦)
Gonna try recording it maybe o.o

I wonder if boarding will make us move back to hostel even if the haze persists... o.o  There's no aircon in hostel afterall...
And if school will still reopen as usual... I really don't wanna study in this terrible weather gosh Dx
I can barely get anything done! That reminds me, they suddenly emailed us Chem Worksheet 0 and expect us to finish it and hand it up on our first chem lesson... T_T
Well, i have 1 week left to:
  • Pack for moving back into hostel
  • Complete chem worksheet 0, revise/prepare for chem
  • GET OUT OF HOLIDAY MOOD!
Speaking of moving back to hostel, i think i will use a luggage bag for my clothes this time lol. Must bring less stuff this time LOL.

...i don't think i can bring myself to prepare for chem oh gosh (一一")
Oh and my JCS lessons are supposed to resume this Sunday... i wonder if it'll still go on as usual... O.o

#400!
Today me and a few year 4 classmates were supposed to go to East Coast Park hahaha. But since it was so far we ended up deciding on a movie/bowling at Marina Square. And luckily we did, because today's PSI is crazy high @_@
Why is it even higher at night oh god.

We walked around looking for a place for eat lunch, but it was so hard because everything was expensive or really crowded orz. Ended up eating at the food court. I don't know if it's the same elsewhere, but all the empty tables in that food court were "reserved" by putting tissue paper on the table god. It was absolutely ridiculous. We even saw, like, company employee passes on tables okay. Is having one person to stay behind so hard?!! What's with the adults?!! Other people have all the right to take your seat even if it's "reserved" with tissue paper. At least, that's my opinion. It's just so ridiculous okay, laughable.
Okay anyway. Had Japanese food for lunch~ (was a bit expensive though T_T)  Don't know what got into me, but teriyaki chicken and gyoza!! (*´ω`*)

Ended up watching a movie, Now You See Me. It was great!... until the ending -.-
Seriously, the ending the screwed it all. And it was really good till the ending T_T
I feel cheated.
Overall the show was a really flashy one hahaha. The four horsemen and their largescale magic tricks.
I really like Daniel Atlas, for reasons i know not LOL. ( *´艸`)
Walked around Marina Square for a bit after the movie...

Visiting Marina Square again reminded me of the time when me, Rachel, Carene and Charmaine went there for a movie and idk what in primary school... If i remembered correctly, we watched Street Dance i think o.o
Primary school nostalgia hahahaha~

Visited KI-SHUN @ Raffles Place with Michelle and Linh!
I bought books. AGAIN. (´・ω・)
Can't resist gdi. Bought 1リットルの涙 and 時をかける少女!
It's a secondhand book store, so the books are really cheap. Yeah and that doesn't help.
Makes me less guilty about destroying highlighting the books... i guess? lol

PSI crazy high... D:
I actually don't feel any different except that it's really hot lol. And my eyes are really dry as usual.

#399: I have turned seventeen muahahahaha.
Happy Birthday myself~ (*´▽`*)
For some reason birthdays seem more and more like a "self-reflection" day...
Like, "What have i been doing for the past 17 years of my life" orz
Recently my birthday treats have become Kinokuniya trips LOL. Plus they have an ongoing sale now omg. And the newly opened Jem has Kinokuniya too! It's gonna be harder to resist the temptation of Kinokuniya now OTL
Well, I went to Orchard today but didn't end up doing much. I wanted to treat myself to good food (like the Japanese mini donuts they have at Taka...), but i couldn't bear to... uhh... spend money on food. Yeah. (´ー`)
Also wanted to visit Ki-Shun to get some second hand Japanese books so i can highlight them without feeling like i'm destroying it uhhh ;-;
But i didn't go in the end =/    Maybe another day.

Loot from the shopping i did recently (Popular Expo Fair + Kinokuniya).
Bought my first Japanese non-fiction book! Thought it looked interesting when i first saw it @ Liang Court last time, and then someone wrote about it on her language blog so i decided to buy it (*‘∀‘)
Oh and i recently watched the Kiki's delivery service movie!

Sat down on this bench in Takashimaya and kind of slacked...

Recently i found several language learning blogs and they were really inspiring ( ;∀;)
Now i have more motivation to study Japanese harder! Can i really pass N2 this December...? T_T
Well at this moment i have no idea. My current aim is to complete N3 stuff during this holiday... and then i'll use the 6 months i have to study N2. 6 months is probably too short... but i'll try anyway lol.

Oh yeah and recently i chatted (typing, not speaking) with a Japanese friend i made on Twitter. Geh, so scary. My brain can't think fast enough and my fingers can't type Japanese fast enough (>_<)
Even so i'm getting really excited for end July when the Nanao students are coming over for inbound!!
Though i heard that not many of them have laptops? That was a few years back though.
But i really hope to make some friends that i can chat with even after the exchange program, like on Facebook/Twitter/Skype ><

Oh and i've been listening to Sekai no Owari recently...
My favourite! They're such a whacky bunch ahaha~
I really like the english parts and the
「僕らにはこんなことしか出来ないけど
今日は君に笑ってほしいんだ
僕らにはこんなことしか出来ないけど
今日は君に歌ってほしいんだ」part ♥♥
So catchyyyyyyyyy ♪

#398
Man, everytime when it comes to the holidays, the days just seem to blend together...
Can't tell what date or day it is hahahaha.

Started playing Ragnarok Online 2 recently. At level 21 and bored.
The dungeons are really annoying. I can accidentally start walking in a random direction and unintentionally lure mobs wth. And when i try to stop my character it doesn't work =.=
I don't think i'm gonna continue playing anymore...
Also realised that i didn't save my screenshots from Eden Eternal/Spirit Tales/Grand Fantasia DD:
Game screenshots are like real-life photographs, just saying xD
Though i still have 2 screenshots from the Eden Eternal Closed Beta... i have nothing from Spirit Tales ><
Aaaahhhhhh damn it i miss the moments so much.
Kiting dragons in the highest level dungeon in Eden Eternal Closed Beta with Sora and the others ;-;
Fun times they were.
Nowadays i've been playing the healer classes... and thinking, "how did i play an archer in Grand Fantasia again?" xD
Being able to heal yourself is just so convenient xD

Also, just finished watching Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom.
It was gooooooooood.
Though it's kind of dark and sad and remained that way till the end...
Gosh the ending man.
It's an ending that totally screws with you, but is still a good ending for the anime ._.
Urobuchi Gen \o/

The school term is always so busy, and the holidays are always so free.
I'm so bored now, ugh.
Sitting in front of the computer all day long...
Well, i have some outings planned... Platinum Data, Wii/Xbox gaming @ Michelle's house, and then that Yoshitaka Amano exhibition...
Oh, and i recently got new clothes at Cotton On hahaha. I really love the skirt! <3

Dammit i want to get stuff from Kinokuniya. Someone gimme Kinokuniya vouchers as a birthday present please xD

#397: 505 Outing!
Forgot about the class outing lol.
Mr Lim couldn't make it due to PTM so the rest of the class just went to West Coast Park...
First we went to Sheng Siong to get food for the picnic though. Bought like 80 bucks worth of food or something.
Walked all the way to West Coast Park...
Most of the people who went played ball games/frisbee/freeze & melt at the playing area...
Me and a few others just slacked in the pavilion...
Then after that the bunch sitting in the pavilion went to climb the pyramid rope structure thingy...
And then entire class ended up climbing it hahahaha.
In the end we all climbed to the top and got Wei Xuan to take a photo for us xD
We even took a photo of the entire class sitting on the slide LOL.
We were kind of obstructing people who wanted to slide down though oops.
Then it was back to slacking... and food...
Ended off with a short water bomb session and then it started to rain...
The rain ended up being quite heavy :(
I walked back in the heavy rain and ended up with a wet shirt and soaked shoes D:
I was quite tired at the end of the day, but class outing ended up being more fun than i thought...

#396
Some overdue photos...

There was a really pretty sunrise on the last day of exams hahahaha. I'm really glad exams ended on a good note. (with chem)

My first alpha friendship bracelet - screwed up a little but it's fun xD

And then i made one for Kohaku-chan~ (which was much better than my first try)

At the airport, welcoming WEAVER!

Clarke Quay, where i missed WEAVER's live :(

And now, more recently...
Finally!! (i'm lazy to censor my own subject CAPs don't judge me)

YES I FINALLY HIT 4.0 GPA.
But i'm still not satisfied OTL
At least my GPA's up to 3.9 now. Must get it up to 4.0 before i graduate!
I want a distinction (4.0 CAP) for graduation gdi. It's only 0.1 more!
I seriously don't get how they calculate CAP scores...
I consistently get an A- for math since Year 1, but my CAP for math is a B+? (4.0-4.4 is B+, 4.5-4.9 is A-)
And god that chinese CAP looks horrible on my transcript.

I have now collected an entire box of Japanese materials, study books and novels.
That white box is full of novels. That Pooh box under the pink N2 book is full of novels. The Kinokuniya plastic bag is full of kids' novels.
Plus a few JLPT books i took out to take this photo lolol.

Japanese book covers (from Daiso)! They're so cute hahaha. They only work for Japanese books though, because they're all in one size, unlike English/Chinese books...
I have another plastic-leather-idk-what-material one in white :D

Somehow got back into piano... Been playing some pop and vocaloid songs after the exams when i had nothing to do lol. I didn't like practicing piano, but i'm glad i completed 8 grades because now i can at least get a shot at playing Marasy's arranges which are soooooo goooooood. (But really hard.)
Managed to play the first page of Marasy's arrange of World End's Dancehall in hostel during post-exam period :DD
It's kind of... bangy... that it's fun to play LOL.
Gonna start keeping piano scores that i print in files!

Oh the last day of hostel was fun. Hahaha.
Dawn and Jing Wei first came over to my room to chat after lights out (11pm++), then we went over to Xinpin's room, and Chen Lin & Linh came over too.
Then the five of us played Monopoly Deal till like 2.30am or something...
I think the first time i played Monopoly Deal was on this really slack day during my first job @ West Coast Plaza xD  Played it with my colleagues (what this sounds weird) and their friends.
Dawn said that i was actually more talkative than she thought xD
I think it's just that Jing Wei was there (someone i'm quite close with), and Dawn's talkative...
Usually i will talk more if the other person is very talkative hahahaha. And if the topic's something i'm interested in, of course.

...I have absolutely no idea how my ARP will turn out. I wanted to do something related to design/psychology, but i don't think that's possible...
My group ended up telling the teacher that we wanted a bio/chem project...
And now we have to wait till after the holidays for them to find a project for us... ><
Sian. I really want to do my ARP well. I mean, you only get 1 chance to do it well, unless you want to retain a year...
