#413: Nanao, AFA, ARP, uni, BnS Sendai Nika
Long post ahead haha. This is why i should just blog whenever there's an event and not wait till /this/ long orz. Not that detailed because some events are kind of old already orz.

First off, Nanao. IT'S THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED IN MY LIFE.
I really had tons of fun even though i had a fever for the the first few days and had my period during the 2nd half -_-
Seriously man, i really felt like crying when i first felt the fever coming on at the airport... Luckily it was after the heat sensor so i could at least still go to Nanao... I joined in the school activities even though i was having a fever haha. Only skipped the night performance practice to sleep early... i was familiar with the dance already anyway. Still had to suffer from cough for the rest of the trip though ;-;
Nanao's a really nice place, with lots of greenery, buildings are not everywhere...
It was really cool to walk across the railway track while walking to the school haha. Doesn't happen in Singapore. Also got the chance to sleep in a futon and try my host family's ofuro (bathtub)! The ofuro water is heated to quite a high temperature, about 40 degrees. It was really nice though. My buddy's house was really pretty too! It's mostly made out of wood!

This year's AFA wasn't that good... or maybe it's just me getting less and less interested in anime and spending money on that... I mostly spent in the Artist Alley, as usual. Got another Einlee artbook whee. And some pretty bookmarks! There was a life-size (?) titan head on display haha. Itou Kashitarou (utaite) performed at the Mini Stage but i kind of missed it haha. So glad to see more Japanese people coming to Singapore, utaites, bands etc. :D
Now i would be SO happy if HSJ/KAT-TUN/Kisumai held a concert in Singapore T_T

Because recently i went down memory lane and kind of got obsessed with some Johnny's groups again HAHA. And now i love HSJ more than ever ;-;
But seriously, they sing, dance and even do random acrobatics... appear in all sorts of TV programs... you can really see how much effort they put into their job...
KAT-TUN's MC in one of their concert DVDs is super funny xD   They are so lovable.
And Kisumai on rollerblades is the best.
Bought a copy of Myojo during a Kino 20% discount and got a jumbo poster of HSJ/Kisumai haha.
Probably putting up the HSJ side xD

ARP. I really don't like ARP. It's like we've only got 2 months or so to work on it. I hate how they don't give us the relevant information early. And hostel should be from Year 5 Sem 2 to Year 6 Sem 1. It's mostly during the holidays that we will go for ARP really often isn't it.
And i don't like my group members i'm sorry. One barely does any work, and i can't work well with the other... Guess this is like a challenge for me, when i go out into the world and start working.
Though i can't say that i'm very enthusiastic about ARP. I've barely done any literature review. (though partly because there aren't much articles about our topic...)
The other day i just did one whole day of ARP, 10am to 5.45pm, on my own. Gosh, i was tired out man.

And then the day after the tiring ARP session, i went for a programme called BnS (Brothers and Sisters, lol) where i brought 7 Japanese students from Sendai Nika High School! It was a good experience. Made me realise, again, how socially awkward i am orz. I'm bad at this kind of thing man. But it was still fun! Though my legs are now dead. We went to the Peranakan Museum, Chinatown (Sri Marimman Temple, street market), had delicious chicken rice at Maxwell Food Centre, made a wasted trip to Little India (they wanted to go shopping but they ended up not buying anything) and finally Bugis, where they got some food as souvenirs at Cold Storage. They were quite excited to go to a supermarket LOL. Man i wish i spent more time at the supermarket in Japan :(  The first time we ended up spending most of our time taking neoprints and the second time was just following my host family to get groceries for dinner... I think i will raid the supermarket the next time i get to visit Japan LOL. Really hope i can visit the Nanao students during their graduation...

Recently i've been worrying quite a fair bit about uni... T_T
Like looking at my choices and being unable to decide.
I really want to study in a Japan uni if possible, because i want to stay in Japan, even if it's for a few years or so. If i'm going to a Japan uni, it'll be nice if i could study (Graphic?) Design... while studying uni Japanese. But all the procedures look wayyy too complicated D:  And then there's the cost to worry about too.
Otherwise, i'm probably gonna stay in Singapore, hopefully NUS if i can get in with my /average/ CAP. But i can't decide whether to study Design, Japanese Studies, or Psychology in NUS ugh. And not knowing how uni works is scary. Really scary. And again, i hate how information is not readily available for us. It seems to be like a modular system, so i guess i could take all 3 kinds of modules during my first year or something? UGH.

The ONE OK ROCK concert which i chose to skipped ended recently...
If the coming RADWIMPS concert next June isn't that expensive then i'll go =v=

#412: Post-exam
So i got back all my exam results.
Well... i didn't do /that/ badly, but i'd say it's maybe a bit better than how i usually do for exams... HAHA.
Not really satisfied with my math results... maybe it's just my expectations which are too high. Did better for biochem that i'd expected. Ecology was disappointing... and English was just terrible.
I did better for biochem than ecology wtf. The same thing happened last semester ._.
Somehow i always do a bit worse in the "easy" bio module than the "difficult" bio module
Oh and apparently i got like 3rd in my class for biochem... an achievement for me, i guess!
(for someone who has gotten so sick of mugging for bio that i hate bio now)

Not much interesting stuff happening after exams/script-checking...
Had OSAP/SEP briefing... I'm gonna stay far, far away from OSAP.
嫌いものばっかりっ (full of stuff i hate - i.e. science. yep.)
I was actually planning on trying for Ritsumeikan SEP even though i'm already in the Nanao SEP... but now i'm kind of reconsidering haha. But i really wanna go to Japan again!! (even though i technically haven't visited Japan, YET haha)
Kind of wanna see what's the difference between people in Kyoto and Nanao haha...
CAN'T WAIT TO BE IN JAPAN!!! just 6 more days!!!
really hope my eczema clears up before the trip though :(
and there's AFA a few days after i come back too!! :DD

Went to Bugis for dinner with Michelle a few days ago, tried the new ramen shop that opened in Bugis Junction! Menya Musashi! My first time eating (relatively) expensive ramen hahaha. (surprise surprise)
I think the only other ramen i've ever eaten is from Yoshinoya HAHA.
Unfortunately my parents aren't fond of Japanese food :(
I wish they would stop going to China for holiday and bring me to Japan instead!! D:

Oh and there's a ONE OK ROCK concert in Nov... can't decide if i should go or not T_T
I do want to hear them live, but it's at a rooftop open space in Sentosa LOL. and it's 80 bucks...
I think there's quite a high chance that i won't go haha...

#411
Exams are overrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! (since last week haha)
Been catching up on anime, playing a bit of Spirit Tales' new Illusionist class and continuing on that JP book i was reading before the exams HAHA.
And SHOPPING!!! hahahahaha.

But seriously, i get it when they say shopping is like therapy man... LOL.
Idk, it's just comforting haha.

Tried mac's new chicken samurai burger yesterday at Liang Court and got 2 JP books from Kino o/
And went shopping today at Bugis with my younger sis (and mum)~
Splurged so much just today orz. Spent >$100 just on clothes ><
Loot: 2 dresses, 1 skirt, 2 shirts, 1 pullover, 3 pants-leggings (for Japan trip...)
Got a really cute skirt at Bugis Street today! (≧▽≦)
Pants-leggings (idk what to call them??) are the best thing invented man.
I hate long pants, but i like leggings haha. But just praying my leg won't suddenly itch while i'm wearing them -_-
Can't wait for my Japan trip!!! I'm like planning out my outfits and what omiyage to buy already hahahaha!
I kind of wanna bring my red boots to Japan, but they're kind of bulky... :p
LCS wants the people going on exchange programs to buy souvenirs for the entire 505...
I do want to, but i'd have to spend so much just on the class ._.
I'm sorry but there are other people more important to me than the people in my class.
I wouldn't mind giving the entire class a Shiroi Koibito biscuit each but that's kind of little HAHA. (because 21 Shiroi Koibito biscuits will only be ~$15 LOL)

I can't help but feel like i'm trying to escape from ARP...
I HATE ARP SO FREAKING MUCH WTH.
Or maybe it's my group mates whom i hate. Well, whichever it is, it's bad.
But seriously, one of them barely does any work, and i can't work well with the other one. T_T
Sian.

Shall make use of the free time i have now to improve my Japanese :p
(N2 next July here i come!!) (hopefully haha)

#409: Tioman!
Etiquette dinner was pretty boring... other than looking at people wearing smart casual clothes lol.
And i wore 9cm heels for the first time hahahaha, felt so tall xD
Here's a photo anyway:
With Michelle~ :DD

Tioman... was nice because of the scenery, but the activities weren't very fun except for intertidal... imo.
I hate getting dirty ugh. We had to trek through the forest (once at night too asdfskljdhlfkdjh) and a mangrove for the activities... and catch insects omg i freaking hate insects.
And the accommodation wasn't very good too... The room floor was super dirty that we had to wear slippers inside... and the shower sucks >.>

Sat for hours on the bus...
Then we stopped for breakfast. Their egg prata was gooood :D

And then we took a 2-hour ferry ride to Tioman...

I LOVE THE SEA SO MUCH OMG.
JUST LOOK AT IT

And they had this really nice wedding-like setting at the beach~

And there were tons of cats around Tioman hahahaha xD
Napping cat so adorableeeee xD

Got a cool photo too~

Really cool place where we did the mangrove activity!

Low tide! I really liked wading through the sea during intertidal ♥

While waiting for the ferry to arrive, they were all taking photos in whatever groups they can think of xD
Took group photos with my Year 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 mentor groups and even with the RGPS girls xDD
...and i also realised i really don't like seeing myself in photos orz. In very rare occasions will i like a photo of myself :x
(i really like that etiquette dinner photo with Michelle though...)

Tioman to me was:
Sea. Cats. (Cheap) ice cream.
Actually there's another word but that's secret (:

I wonder how many hours did i clock listening to my mp3 LOL.
Was listening to music for the entire journey both ways... probably more than 10 hours hahaha.
ONE OK ROCK's 人生×僕= album is so good ♥
Taka's English pronunciation is pretty good haha.

And then now it's back to reality T_T
All them projects due after term break... and Tioman report...
SSEF forms due after term break too what am i gonna do orz

I REALLY CAN'T WAIT TILL EXAMS END.
There's the Nanao outbound trip ♥
And lots of free time. Though there will still be ARP to do argh.

Well, がんばらなくちゃ。
